Cara & Kyle Engaged!

Cara and Kyle will be married in September of this year. It's always fun to go out and shoot the engagement session, as it is the first time time we really get to know one another and build a great relationship for wedding day!

Sparkle & Robert

Sparkle and Robert were actually married 5 years ago, but never had the beautiful ceremony and celebration they dreamed of. So on their five year anniversary, they had their wedding and shared it with their two beautiful children. I was joined on this day by my great friend Randy Cupps. Randy and I always have a great time and between us we always capture many great images. Here are just few!

The project takes shape!

For the past several weeks, I have been mentoring Emily for her senior project on photography. Last Saturday we had our last official shooting event; the rest is post processing and assembling her project for presentation at school. As shown in the set below, she is becoming quite the "director"! Emily is a typical teenage free spirit - sometimes hard to keep up with and a bit unpredictible. She will freely converse with total strangers one minute and break into dance the next. Often when we start shooting, she will look at me and pout "I'm stuck". After a bit of coaxing, she is snapping away, coming up with one idea after the other. Other than an occasional peak at the back of her camera, I have not seen any of her images, but that is all about to change as we begin the process of going through and picking out a group of images for her presentation.

For me, the experience has been enlightening to say the least. I sometimes only make a few images during our entire outing, but the images I do make are fun, unique, and force me to think outside the box. Today we hit the light rail and headed back down town for some fun photos to round out Emily's senior project. Emily is becoming quite a good photographer and captured some great images today!
